·         The Comity of 23 Sainik Schools are premier educational institutions in the country imparting Military oriented education to the Cadets. They are administrated by Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. These schools are the brain child of Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the Nation's first Prime Minister and Late Shri VK Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister.

·         The mission of these schools is to prepare the cadets academically, physically and mentally to enter the portals of the National Defence Academy, Pune, and thus encouraging them to don the uniform of the Military Services and carry the arms for the nation. In pursuance of the mission, these schools have set the following objectives.

-->To remove regional imbalance in the officer cadre of the Defence Services.

-->To develop qualities of body, mind and character which will enable the young boys of today to become good and useful citizens of tomorrow?

-->To bring public school education within the reach of the common man.
