Wing Commander CS Bhanuprakash assumed the charge of Vice Principal on 23 July 2018.
The Officer was commissioned into the Education Branch of IAF. He belongs to Coorg District in Karnataka. He has graduated from the prestigious St Aloysius College, Mangalore, and completed his post graduation in Eng (Lit) from Mangalore University. He also has an MBA (HR) degree from IGNOU. Prior to his present appointment, the Officer was posted as Directing Staff for the Officers in the Premier Ground Instructors’ School at Air Force Station Tambaram.
The Officer during his memorable and eventful career so far, has served at various premier Training and Flying bases of IAF. He had served in the capacity of Training Wing Adjutant, Training Coordination Officer, Flight Commander and also as a Squadron Commander at various Training Bases. He has also held the appointments such as Adjutant, Senior Education Officer, Security Officer and Executive Director at various Flying Bases. The officer also had a stint at GRTC, the Alma Mater of ‘Garuds; The Special Forces of IAF for 4 years and also involved in various rescue missions. He was instrumental in establishing the Alma Mater of Garuds. For his outstanding service and leadership qualities, he was awarded with the commendation by the Air Officer Commanding in Chief and the citation by the Commandant.
The officer has undergone various mandatory and specialist service courses in his career and has bagged the prestigious ‘Best in ODT’ Trophy during his QGI Course. The Officer is a keen sportsman and represented Air Force at various levels in Hockey, Football, Cricket and Badminton. He has a flair for adventure and sports.
He is happily married to Reena, who is a research scholar in Entomology and a Technical Writer. The couple is blessed with two daughters Aditi and Ahana Studying in class VIII & III respectively.
